What you choose to provide
The pilot form collects your email, how frequently you compare supplier quotes, and your interest in a proposed €19 comparison offer. We also record when you submitted it, your contact permission, the notice version, and a hashed withdrawal credential. Providing this information is optional; the fictional demo and example Excel files are available without signup.
Purpose and consent
With your consent, we use these details to assess interest in the pilot and contact you about trying Quote Ledger and its proposed comparison offer. This is not a newsletter signup. Your answers are interest signals, not a purchase. There is no automated decision that has a legal or similarly significant effect on you.
Storage, access, and deletion
Requests are stored on Jonathan's home server. Jonathan and OpenAI's coding assistant working under his direction can review requests to administer this pilot. The signup form itself makes no model request; if the assistant reviews a request, its details are processed by OpenAI. OpenAI describes its processing, including international transfers, in its privacy policy. We do not sell signup data or share it with advertising services. If we reply by email, your address and correspondence will also pass through the email providers used to deliver that conversation; those providers' retention and processing apply separately.
Requests in this pilot's database are deleted within 31 days of submission. You can delete your request earlier using the private link displayed after signup. Anyone with that link can delete that request, so keep it private. Deletion removes the request from this database; it does not recall emails already delivered. Contact us if you have lost the link or need help with correspondence.
Technical operation
The demo makes no model calls and accepts no quote documents. This page uses no advertising trackers, analytics cookies, or persistent browser storage. We keep aggregate counts of page requests, workbook downloads and accepted pilot submissions. Links may include a shared source label, such as email or Reddit, so we can also count requests by channel. These counts have no visitor identifiers, are not linked to your email or pilot request, and are not counts of unique people. Invalid or missing source labels count as untagged. Counts can include repeat requests, bots and our own checks, and remain after a pilot request is withdrawn. Your IP address is used transiently by the server to apply abuse limits, but is not stored with your pilot request. Application and route access logging are disabled for this demo.
Your choices and rights
You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing already performed. You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of your information where applicable by contacting info@bitheater.co.uk. You may complain to your local data protection authority; in Spain this is the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos.
